C&C Iron, Inc. began in 1963 as an ornamental design and miscellaneous metals fabricating shop. In 1971 it incorporated and expanded its operations to structural steel fabricating and erection. It has served a rapidly growing community by providing the fabrication and erection of the steel for several hospitals, many local schools, colleges and universities such as IU Northwest and Purdue Calumet, industrial plants, utility companies, banks, and repeated construction for retailers such as Meijer, Walgreens, Holiday Inns, and the former Star Plaza.
The well-managed union shop contains a Whitney beam line with an over-head handling system and all necessary support equipment to efficiently expedite the fabrication process. All shop drawings are computer generated.
